This article talks about the meaning of hunger for Americans. The result indicated that many Americans associated hunger with a condition of insecurity whether there will be food or not to be eaten tomorrow. Those were answers from median perception of the least severe condition of respondents. The study, however, has not defined any narrow consensus on the appropriate term of hunger. I still find this article interesting anyway because it shows how different people have different perception about hunger. I myself defined hunger as not being able to afford enough meal. You might have other different perception. If the study were done in your area, the median result might have been different. That’s the point. Read more about the article here.
