Xitang is a very quiet, peaceful, warm, and inviting small river town. It is divided into eight parts by nine rivers, with a total of 104 bridges to unite them. Most of the buildings have not been rebuilt much and still keep their historical attraction. In fact, many of the residents make exhibitions of old wood carvings, cultural relics, and inscription rubbing to attract tourists. Many of the houses’ rooftops have growing grass. The foods are made of natural qualities and steamed rather than artificial and fried. These are just part of the tourist attraction, not yet to include the boat ride that is as mandatory as you would find in Venice. There is not bridge of sighs and no gondoliers.
