Natural weight loss

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

Many people feel embarrassed because of being overweight. The article I found says that overweight people should have done diet naturally instead of taken various diets, supplements, drugs, and its kind that only reduce weight in vain. The writers say that we are overweight because we’ve eaten the wrong food continuously and in wrong pattern. Those who are overweight should shift the type of calories they eat by choosing diet that is low in fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol. The recommendations are also provided. Commonly, they suggest to reduce fat and oil consumption, eat plenty of grain products, vegetables, and fruits, and consume moderate amount of sugars, salt, and sodium. You are what you put in your mouth

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

Here is an inspiring article I got. It says that we are what eat. If we want to be fat or obese, then eat foods that are rich in calories. If we want to stay healthy and slim, then eat nutritious food and watch your diet. There is a reason for what we get. This article also reminds us about instant food and light cooking. When you cook your food, do you ever think of the nutrition content? Food make us alive, is not only to satisfy our hunger. We shouldn’t eat all the provided food. I personally always try to practice this in my life. I don’t eat too much, add more fruits and vegetables into everyday consumption, and lessen meat in daily meals. That’s my way of living. How to calculate calories

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

This is a great source I found about calculating enough calories for our body. Every food has calories, except water. Calories we take into our body should match those we need for our level of activity, otherwise they will be “spare” calories that turn into fats. This article gives you way to calculate calories you need. It also tells where the calories are coming from. I think it’s very important that you know this because every study has led to the same conclusion, that you will lose weight by cutting the calories. So if you want to gain ideal weight, put less (calories) into your body. Otherwise you will have to take more activities to burn them. Read more in this article.

Tips for a better sleep

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Some people need some hours on bed before finally they fall asleep. Sounds like a hard try. From an article I read, of which was constructed by many experts as the authors, there are some tips to sleep well every night.

  1. Improve your daytime habits. Regular exercise, sleep time, and wake-up time can help you sleep better. While that, avoid taking nap, drinking alcohol, caffeine, and smoking if you don’t really need to.
  2. Create your sleep environment. Look at your bed, mattress, and pillows, are they comfort enough for you to sleep on? Also, to maximize sleep your room would better be quiet, dark, and at a comfortable temperature and ventilation.
  3. Prepare for your sleep by keeping a regular bedtime and avoid eating large meal within two hours before sleep time. Of course don’t eat too much fatty and rich food, alcohol, caffeine, and too much liquid.
